Proof of the work

What was built, how it works, and why it was built that way.

01 / Real screen & code

A deterministic core

Game rules live in a core without rendering code, running at 20 ticks a second with a seeded RNG. The renderer only draws what the core decides.

Technical decision

The same seed gives the same session, which makes the daily challenge fair and lets a server referee replay a recorded match to check its score.

02 / Real screen & code

Multiplayer without a game server

Lobbies, live matches, presence, and the score referee each run as a Cloudflare Durable Object behind one Worker.

Technical decision

Each session gets its own small stateful object, so there is no dedicated server to keep running between matches.

About these screens

Screens come from the DPR 2.0 Unity build on an Android test phone, captured for the store listing. The web version is live; the Play Store release is still in closed testing.

Core purpose

A comedy strategy game about a council session that keeps nodding off. Twelve members each fall asleep in their own way. Tap to wake them, send Power-Up cards into the room, and survive ten waves before the Speaker loses patience.

Feature highlights

  • 12 members, each with their own sleep habit
  • Power-Up deck, energy & combo scoring
  • Solo, online sessions, Pride War & daily challenge

The walkthrough

Pick how to hold the session

The menu sits inside the live chamber: Solo, Online to create or join a session, Pride War for four players, Tutorial, and the Daily challenge.

Wake them before patience runs out

Members fall asleep one by one. Tap to wake them and chain the taps into a combo while the Speaker’s patience bar drains.

Send a Power-Up into the room

Drag a card onto the chamber. The Clown wakes everyone in an area at once, and every save and interruption scores on its own.

Build a four-card deck

Each card shows its energy cost, cooldown, and reach: one person, a row, an area, or the whole room.

Choose an upgrade between waves

A safe wave pays a bonus and offers three upgrades. The choice carries into the next wave.

How it is built

The rules live in a deterministic core that runs at 20 ticks a second with a seeded RNG, separate from rendering. The web version draws it with Babylon.js; DPR 2.0 ports it to Unity for Android and iOS. Online lobbies, live matches, presence, and a score referee run as Cloudflare Durable Objects.
